Autumn Reeser on Say Anything Homage in Hallmark's Junebug
Exclusive Interview with Us Weekly
Autumn Reeser spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about the upcoming Hallmark movie Junebug and revealed why it includes a nod to the iconic film Say Anything. "It's a little bit of an homage to Say Anything," she said. "It's not a direct remake or anything, but there are some fun little moments that I think fans of that movie will appreciate."
TV Fanatic Chats with Autumn Reeser
TV Fanatic also spoke with Reeser about her role in Junebug. She explained that the decision to incorporate elements from Say Anything came from writer Summer Isreal Johnson. "Summer is a huge fan of that movie," Reeser said. "And when she was writing Junebug, she just felt like there were some really great parallels between the two stories."
A Long-Awaited Project
Junebug has been in development for five years, and Reeser says the story is very close to her heart. "I think it's a really beautiful and heartwarming story," she said. "It's about a woman who is turning 40 and she's kind of at a crossroads in her life. She's not sure what she wants to do next, and she's feeling a little bit lost. And then she meets this guy, and he kind of helps her to find her way."
